Harrogate Fashion Week Celebrates It’s First Birthday!

As Harrogate Fashion Week celebrates its first birthday, we are happy to have supported them through their shows and success’, to which we delivered all online and offline marketing material.

Harrogate Fashion Week required a marketing strategy to increase the awareness of the trade show. This allowed the recognition of Harrogate Fashion Week within the UK trade fashion sector.

Little Wild Fox on The Farm

Little Wild Fox has been one of our favourite new brands to work on!

Lizzie who runs the business from Inglewhite, near Preston, came to us with an idea inspired by her two, very playful, red headed children and the difficulties she’d faced trying to find nice playwear and comfy pyjamas that could withstand some serious adventures.

Coming up with the brand name was easy; taking all of our inspiration from Lizzie’s children, Annie & Betsy, Little Wild Fox was a must!

Creating the branding was a really fun process with Lizzie, who was open and honest about what she liked and didn’t like so we could create fun and fresh branding. It was important that the branding captured the spirit of Little Wild Fox and everything that it stood for:

Practical clothes that can climb trees, splash in puddles and take a few tumble’s while coming out good as new in the wash

Cotton pyjamas that little wild foxes can snuggle into for a cosy nights sleep every wear

These led to the strap line; Play Freely, Sleep Soundly. To incorporate this ethos into the branding, coloured doodles of moons and stars were used across all elements and implemented into all marketing material. We also used muted pastel colours across the branding to keep a unisex feel while remaining very much a children’s brand.

Little Wild Fox is an online brand, which meant that designing and delivering an easy to use and eye-catching e-commerce website was important. Carrying the branding throughout the site, clear categories to separate the different products were created using the muted pastel colour scheme we’d established in the branding process. A minimalistic approach to delivering this site lets the products speak for themselves and keeps the customer journey short and simple.

As well as an online sales platform, we created special ‘first look’ postcard invites that were sent out to, giving them the opportunity to view Little Wild Foxes offering before the initial launch. To bring the brand to life, the invite was written as a poem to really set the tone for what was to come.

Judged Best Marketing Firm in the UK

We’re very excited to announce that we won the National, Rural Business Award for Best Rural Creative or Media-Based Business at the annual awards ceremony on Thursday 5th October!

The Rural Business Awards work in partnership with Amazon and CLA and give recognition to businesses across the UK “to acknowledge and celebrate the vital contributions made by companies to the development and success of the rural sector and rural way of life. They also encourage entrepreneurial spirit in the rural sector, and give recognition to excellence in business set-up, operation and management”.

The awards evening itself was such a good night, held at Denbies Wine Estate in Surrey, we had the opportunity to meet and chat with Openreach representatives, the Creative category sponsor, and fellow rural business people, who are all like minded and supportive of the different sectors rural businesses operate within.

To win the award, the judging panel recognised that as a business, we had demonstrated the journey we have taken towards establishing a business that is excelling in its chosen market. This was demonstrated by sharing a clear strategy, with an understanding of the marketplace as well as targets that have been met or exceeded in relation to growth performance. The panel also saw that we’ve created the foundations for continued commercial success.

Steve Edwards, Openreach’s Director of Fibre Broadband Clients said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be part of the awards. It’s a fantastic opportunity to get together and celebrate the very best rural businesses and the hear some of their inspiring stories. This year has seen entries from 52 counties in the UK and there have been nearly three times as many entries for the Rural Business Awards as in 2016.”

We’d like to thank the RBA organisers, sponsors and judges for their support and we’re extremely excited to build on our national award success.

Managing Director, Helen Stuart said: “Competing amongst the UK’s top rural businesses, in itself, is a great achievement for us; so to actually win and have our work recognised on a national level is brilliant.”

Farm Creatives’ National Exhibition Success

Earlier this year we blogged about how excited we were to be the official marketing agency for the UK’s national Flooring and Tiling Shows, two huge exhibitions that take place at the Harrogate International Centre each year.

Using multiple marketing platforms from our available services, we increased visitor numbers to the shows by 9.6%, with 3,119 people passing through the doors!

From October 2015, we’ve created and designed digital campaigns, content management of the Show websites, written and printed all the Show materials; including Show Previews and Show Guides and the team have written monthly press releases that have featured in over seven industry leading magazines along with regular printed adverts. This approach to their communications garnered positive reviews and comments from visitors and exhibitors alike.

We attended the show, which took place at the Harrogate International Centre from 18th to 20th September to assist with onsite communications.

With this year being such a success, we’re thrilled to have renewed our contract to work on all aspects of marketing for the 2017 Shows, and work has already begun to beat this year’s visitor numbers!

Happy Pancake Day

Pancake Day is a favourite on the farm and we enjoy traditional home made (Grandma made) pancakes with lemon and sugar.

Also known as Shrove Tuesday, Pancake Day was traditionally celebrated so everyone could use up all the eggs and fats before Lent began; and pancakes were the perfect solution!

Our foolproof pancakes:

We buy our eggs & milk from local farmers to show our support for British farmers… and they’re usually tastier, making our pancakes the best in Bilsborrow!

We are celebrating our 2nd Birthday

Time is flying by as we plough on through our second year in business. Last year we celebrated our 1st Birthday with cake and beers in the office, even Granny joined us for a chilled one.Our second birthday passed us by before we knew it, after a hugely successful year working with 22 clients over a variety of different sectors.

We are looking forward to our 3rd Birthday when we hope to have completed all of the exciting new projects currently on the horizon. Watch this space…………………..
