Harrogate Fashion Week Celebrates It’s First Birthday!

As Harrogate Fashion Week celebrates its first birthday, we are happy to have supported them through their shows and success’, to which we delivered all online and offline marketing material.

Harrogate Fashion Week required a marketing strategy to increase the awareness of the trade show. This allowed the recognition of Harrogate Fashion Week within the UK trade fashion sector.

Anderton’s Butchers Win Best Online Business Award

One of our longest standing clients, Anderton’s Ribble Valley Butchers, based in Longridge near Preston, won the prestigious Best Online Business award at The Meat Management Industry Awards in May this year and we couldn’t be more excited for them!

We first designed and developed the Anderton’s website in 2016, to allow customers to buy seasonal hampers for BBQ’s and Christmas and have the fresh goods delivered right to their door. We then re-freshed the website design and made the entire range Anderton’s Ribble Valley Butchers offer, available online. With so many products and categories on the site, we wanted to maintain the usability of the website to ensure as many visitors to the site completed the customer journey, from entering the site through to purchasing products. Both ourselves & the team at Anderton’s agree that the finished website has been a great success!

Counting our Chickens with Vencomatic

Over the last year we’ve been busy working with the UK division of the Vencomatic Group, an international group which represents four established brands within the poultry industry: Vencomatic, Prinzen, Ovologic and Agro Supply.

We created a new range of marketing materials, including print adverts, that have been used in industry leading publications. The suite of adverts designed are clean and simple to draw focus to the product that was to be conveyed in the specific publication.

The UK branch of the company asked us to design and build a new website that showed clear differentiation between the four brands, Vencomatic, Prinzen, Ovologic and Agro Supply.

As well as being shown in clearly defined sections throughout the site, each sub company had to be fully functional in showing the relevant product selection. Having as much product information as possible on the website was an important stipulation for the design. This meant we included space for information to be shown in multiple ways:

The main function of the website is to act as a directory for prospective customers to view the entire Vencomatic product range before progressing to making an enquiry or purchasing a product.

Since launching in January 2018, the website has proved popular, with users spending long periods of time on the site, accessing all the information that’s available to them.

There’s Life in the Old Mill Yet

Over the last month we’ve been working with Emma at Mosney Mill, a new brand of homeware, giftware and stationery collections. All hand drawn and inspired by the beautiful grounds surrounding Emma’s studio at Mosney Mill in Lancashire, which just so happens to be the birthplace of modern day fabric printing. It’s Emma’s & now our mission to bring print back to Mosney.

After moving to the former Mosney Market Gardens with her family & discovering it’s rich history, dating as far back as 1780’s when it was the site of innovatory Mosney textile print works and the birthplace of Callico printing, Emma has made it her mission to bring print back to Mosney.

With a date of 18th November set for the launch of her new brand, we delivered Emma a stylish and contemporary ecommerce website that embodies everything the Mosney Mill brand stands for, traditional, British quality.

Looking to support British trade and workforces, Emma ensures all her products are printed and manufactured in the UK, & on the very rare occasion this isn’t possible, goods are ethically sourced abroad and then printed right here in the UK.

With products ranging from quirky notebooks and lovely Staffordshire bone china mugs to stunning wallpapers, each piece features Mosney’s charming countryside animals; regularly seen wandering past Emma’s studio window in the grounds.

We’re so excited to continue working with Emma & are happy to have joined her mission to bring print back to Mosney!

Farm Creatives’ National Exhibition Success

Earlier this year we blogged about how excited we were to be the official marketing agency for the UK’s national Flooring and Tiling Shows, two huge exhibitions that take place at the Harrogate International Centre each year.

Using multiple marketing platforms from our available services, we increased visitor numbers to the shows by 9.6%, with 3,119 people passing through the doors!

From October 2015, we’ve created and designed digital campaigns, content management of the Show websites, written and printed all the Show materials; including Show Previews and Show Guides and the team have written monthly press releases that have featured in over seven industry leading magazines along with regular printed adverts. This approach to their communications garnered positive reviews and comments from visitors and exhibitors alike.

We attended the show, which took place at the Harrogate International Centre from 18th to 20th September to assist with onsite communications.

With this year being such a success, we’re thrilled to have renewed our contract to work on all aspects of marketing for the 2017 Shows, and work has already begun to beat this year’s visitor numbers!

Marketing & Leaving a Mark

Now you could call us biased when we say that marketing and branding is really important to businesses, and as much as we love what we do, we’re actually speaking the truth!

A strong brand image and good marketing can work wonders for creating a nice big customer base and social media following; as well as developing a respected and valued brand reputation that keeps customers coming back to your business again & again.

Simply put, if you position your business for your target market and they like what they see, you’ll more than likely have a brand ambassador in no time. Brand ambassadors should be some of your favourite people because they’ll rave about your business and products for you, and who doesn’t love free marketing?

This isn’t an easy thing to do though, it takes a lot of research and time spent making changes to changes and going back to the drawing board who knows how many times, but when you’ve cracked the winning formula for your business, it really works wonders and will leave a lasting impression on your customers.

For example, take a look at these brand tag lines…

Most people will be able to rattle off the brand names with no problem at all with no branding or hints in sight. This is down to consistent branding and marketing, through reinforcing what the company stands for and it’s values.

Our Brand New & Exciting Client

In Autumn 2015 we gained a new client, the UK’s National Flooring and Tiling Shows!

We’re so excited to be working with these two huge exhibitions to create their year-long marketing campaign, which started in October 2015 and will continue up until the shows themselves in September 2016.

For the campaigns we will be producing content to feature in trade publications, including editorial pieces from exhibitors, and some pretty good looking adverts! Alongside this, we are producing the show invites; show brochures and sales packs; which is all doubled, as there are two shows.

We are also busy maintaining and updating the two websites and the various social media platforms to raise awareness of the exhibitions and encourage trade clients to attend, as increasing footfall at the shows was high on the “to-do” list of our client.

Working with such a large and established client in the Flooring & Tiling industry is huge for us because it means that we’re branching out and we have the chance to showcase what a small, rural business can do (hint… it’s big things!)

After the shows have taken place, we’ll be sure to update our portfolio so you can see what we have been working on to create two successful shows.

Whilst you’re waiting, feel free to take a look at our digital work for The Flooring and Tiling Shows so far.

Community Spirit

When we heard about the Blackburn-based charity ‘Community Spirit’ and their mission to help feed and clothe the homeless and needy, we were both moved and inspired. The volunteers meet every Tuesday at the Old Fire Station in Blackburn to serve hot and cold food and drinks and donate items of clothing for those less fortunate.

The Charity approached us to design a logo that demonstrates how they bridge the gap between crisis and comfort for their service users. The Old Fire Station is near the Wainwright Bridge and we incorporated this into our design which we donated.

This really is a remarkable group of people, visit their Facebook page and see for yourself the difference a little compassion can make.

Kelly Hoppen

Working with Graham & Brown on their collaboration with interior designer, Kelly Hoppen, we created a wallpaper sample book design that was as stylish as the collections within it. To raise awareness of the collaboration, we designed and distributed press packs that were sent to PR agencies and media outlets around the world. The packs included a bespoke USB key which gave recipients immediate access to all the high-resolution images. Kelly Hoppen Launch Event
