Project
Dewlay cheese makers is a family owned, third generation dairy, open to the public. Located between Preston & Lancaster the factory boasts the county’s only purpose-built viewing gallery and award winning cheese shop. The popular viewing gallery allowed visitors to watch the cheese being made, but did not fully explain the cheese making process; something which the cheese makers wanted to incorporate.
Overview
The biggest challenge we faced with this project was to ensure the explanation was interesting for adults and children alike. This led us to develop imagery to fill the gallery board and we used characters to progress the story; keeping it simple for children yet engaging for adults. The completed piece covered 34 meters in length of the viewing gallery walls, and has been a popular addition to the factory. Since completing this project, we have also designed multiple cheese packaging and leaflets.
